Start June with a Longer Yoga Session

Writers spend so much time in their chairs, it's important to remember to move those joints to keep from getting stiff and sore. Here's a longer yoga session - why not kick off the month by making a commitment to your physical well-being?

Don't just stop there. Make it a habit to get out of your chair a few times every hour. Click here to reading an article from Dr. Joseph Mercola about why sitting too much is bad for your health.

  1. If you keep a large bottle of water on your desk and stay hydrated, you'll probably be getting up regularly! When I'm writing, I think better while I'm walking around, listening to my characters tell me what happens next. It's when I get caught up in social media or (gasp!) games that I stay seated too long.

    1. Terry, like you, I tend to walk around and talk to my characters when I need to figure out a plot point. I thought I was the only one. My cats look at me like I'm nuts, and the dog keeps thinking I'll be heading out of the office any second to go throw the ball for her. LOL

  2. The challenge for me is to STAY in my chair!

  3. I do appreciate the links to the yoga videos. Need to make time for this one. The shorter ones you've posted on other days seem to appeal to a spur of the moment, "Let's do yoga."
