  1. Self-editing can get a bit tricky when the writer is also a professional editor. Changing hats from writer to editor can develop into a tug of war, which is why the self-editor should always have a competent proofreader who will kindly but clearly point out areas in need of a revisit. Love this compilation of repostings because the info is as relevant today as it was when the posts were first published.
