There are so many that it is hard to keep up. I don't know how some readers and reviewers read so many in one month. It's fun reading an entire series to get the nuances, just like when I watch Seinfeld and some of the references carry over to other episodes, and those in the know appreciate them.

Morgan Mandel
http://morganmandel.blogspot.comMorgan Mandelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00885472833094930724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704943052235281766.post-27160539399147391792012-01-30T10:25:21.274-07:002012-01-30T10:25:21.274-07:00I would read this series from the beginning, mostl...I would read this series from the beginning, mostly because of character development from book to book, and changing relationships between characters. For instance, there is reference to a previous incident where several officers got shot and the officers carry that trauma into this story. These series with evolving characters always remind me of episodic television. Each week there is a new central story, but the personal stories of these characters can be strung along for a season, or more.

I do plan to start the series from the beginning and get to know these people better.Maryannwriteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09479027709233807149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5704943052235281766.post-77225768825875576902012-01-30T00:33:06.674-07:002012-01-30T00:33:06.674-07:00Would you recommend starting with the first book i...Would you recommend starting with the first book in the series, Maryann, or did you find it easy enough to follow A Trick of the Light as a standalone?Elle Carter Nealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02266309723919011181noreply@blogger.com
