Musical Chairs - #NaNoWriMo Writing Prompt

While you were sleeping, your characters switched places in every scene you wrote yesterday. What did they learn (about themselves, each other, and their plans/ schemes)? What will they do with the secret knowledge they gained? What will it change? Can you use an accidental discovery in your story, or do you need to apply mass amnesia?

  1. What a cool idea! Suppose your characters were twins--or triplets--all married. How might that change your story?

  2. I find twins fascinating, especially stories of ESP connections between them.

  3. One of the best pieces of advice I was given is to review each scene from each character's POV. It changes their behavior and responses and makes them more detailed rather than props. So often characters are acted upon instead of interacting.
